Ocurre cuando una operaci\u00f3n no representa un mayor beneficio para el paciente y \u00e9ste no saldr\u00e1 mejor.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>P. \u00bfExisten ciertas cirug\u00edas que se utilizan en exceso y se realizan con demasiada frecuencia cuando no son m\u00e9dicamente necesarias?<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>A.\u00a0<\/strong>S\u00ed. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os ha surgido un consenso entre los l\u00edderes m\u00e9dicos sobre cirug\u00edas seleccionadas que se realizan cuando no siempre son m\u00e9dicamente apropiadas. Este consenso se basa en investigaciones publicadas en revistas revisadas por pares como la\u00a0<em>Revista de la Asociaci\u00f3n M\u00e9dica Estadounidense<\/em>.
